For those of us interested in honest Roman history without spin, beyond what you think you may know about Constantine from religion class or from reading The DaVinci Code. A very illuminating picture of the man in context of the time, pieced together from the surviving sources and sensitively considered based on the sources own biases. It is truly a shame that are still so many questions surrounding his life. Nevertheless, I would recommend this book whole-heartedly.
