Excellent book for budding filmmakers
I was surprised to find this book even better than the previous Great Moviemakers volume, even though my taste runs more to the classic era. Even filmmakers whose work I'm not that crazy about had fascinating things to say about the craft and it's not that hard to use what you learn here in your own life. There wasn't a boring or perfunctory page in the book and the interviews were surprisingly candid. This book is light on on-set gossip and long and filmmaking as a craft and job, almost more so than an art. Sample this and see if you're not hooked. I read it straight through with pleasure. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.
