“Cooked in 30 Minutes: An Expert Guide” is an examination of Michael Pollan’s “Cooked: A Natural History of Transformation.” This Guide presents Pollan’s research into how four basic elements—water, fire, air, and earth have had a major impact on food and its preparation. This impact has changed society in terms of the role of food as well as its preparation in families, regions, and corporations.
