Along the line of DaVinci Code but NOT!
The ending is predictable and the last pages are devoted to the conversion to Christianity of one of the main characters.
An easy read - just don't expect to be wowed!

A fast paced trhriller!!! I literally could not put it down!!!
An amazing book with hairpin plot twists, intricately woven into an unrivaled story of an episode of 24 and Indiana Jones, with a supernatural twist. This book was impossible to put down. The time and research poured into this book is outstanding, and Rosenberg's ability of decoding the past along with scripture, to give you the headlines before they happen, is even right now unraveling before our very eyes. A quick read, into the small hours of the morning. I can't wait for the next one!!!

Fascinating.
The second best book in this series. Takes scriptural truth and imagines how it will play out from our point of view. So many other books based on ignorant pagan myths and legends. This story is based on the revelation and promises of God Himself.

fast-paced thriller
When Russia attacked Israel, a supernatural firestorm destroyed the invaders most of Russia, the fundamentalist Arab nations and Germany and Austria. The world is still trying to bury the dead and clear the debris away while the only Arab nation to remain unscathed is Iraq led by Mustafa al-Hassani. Iran and Israel are the only two oil producing nations in the Mideast since the governments of all the other nations and the pipelines were destroyed. --- Al-Hassani intends to rebuild the Babylonian empire with him as the ultimate authority and he intends to destroy Israel but first he has to stop the Land of Zion from building the third temple on the Temple Mount now that the Dome Of The Rock and the al Aksa Mosque has been destroyed. The Jews have in their possession THE COPPER SCROLL listing where the treasure from the second temple is hidden. The people who are looking for the Key Scroll, a list of the treasure and where the Ark of the Covenant can be found are systemically being killed. Jon and Erin Bennet try to find the Key Scroll but terrorists are trying to stop them for if the treasure is found there is no doubt that Israeli Prime Minister Doron will build the third temple and fill it with the treasure from the second temple. --- Every book about international events that Joel C. Rosenberg has written has come true in the not so distant future. If his record holds up, Russia will attack Israel but will be destroyed the treasure from the second temple will be found and the new Iranian leader is making plans to absorb other nations into a new Arab empire. THE COPPER SCROLL is filled with action, political intrigue and great characterizations as Mr. Rosenberg has written a thriller that is so exciting and fast-paced that readers will feel they are along on the ride of a lifetime --- Harriet Klausner

I found this book very entertaining and close to Ezekiel 38-39.
I found this book very entertaining and close to Ezekiel 38-39. If yo are not afraid of the Christian - Jewish controversy. you should consider reading this book.

Along the line of DaVinci Code but NOT!
I picked up this book because I love historical fiction and thought this book would be in the same class of the DaVinci Code. While the story is compelling and the plot does hold your interest, I could have done without the preachy religious born-again overtones of the main characters.
The ending is predictable and the last pages are devoted to the conversion to Christianity of one of the main characters.

One of the best books I have ever read!!!!!!!!!
This book is great. I have read many books, but this is by far one of the best. Mr. Rosenberg definitely knows how to write.

A Cowboy Reads the Copper Scroll
I consider myself a well rounded reader. I sometimes take advertised titles with a grain of salt and wait for a bargain price. However, while listening to Sean Hannity the other day, I caught the title he recommended. It wasn't that I was paying all that much attention as I was busy working. Then I opened a box and there was the very book Copper Scroll staring up at me. After a quick scan of the cover flap I knew I had to have it. At lunch I read the first two chapters and was hooked. After clocking out for the day I purchased The Last Jihad, The Last Days and The Ezekiel Option. They all now rest in my home library where they will be read again, soon I'm sure. Without a doubt, Copper Scroll is a must read, be it at home or on the range. Joel Rosenberg can scare the heck outa you with his writing, his abstract predictions beat anything comin' outa the preacher's pulpit on Sunday mornin'. The entire series has given me an entirely new prespective on Revelations and what is taking place in the Middle east as I write this. But then these books are all fiction...aren't they

Should have stuck to the original format....
The book was an easy read, good and kept up the pace. Honestly the only gripe I had about it was the seemingly needless talk about the rapture, and everything else from the school of LaHaye/Jenkins The book seemed like it was trying to be too Left Behind'ish. I am assuming his next book will be about the antichrist/mark-of-the-beast, chopping heads off of Christians, whatever. What was good about his first three books was the fact that he took into account current political events, and showed things that could happen. What really got me, and what caused me to recommend the books was the fact that I could draw the parallels to biblical prophecy myself, and I thought that a very subtle tactic by Rosenberg, but now it is just too in your face. A little disappointed, but it will not stop me from reading his next books.

Do not buy this book
This book was shelved in the fiction and literature section where it did not belong. Don't bother to buy it or read it.

Only for the not so well read.
What a bunch of nonsense! It seems the lack of common sense and intelligence is prevailing lately. Fear and hate sells, doesn't it? I can suggest more gripping stories than this one. My recommendations below.
