An amazing book on our universe at several levels!

This book covers the universe for us in depth, while remaining an easy and fun read.the images are huge,as is the book.make no mistake,it is an oversized book.it goes from our solar system and each object in our system from the sun to pluto.it goes out to cover asteroids, comets and nebulae and other space related objects, and really paints an outstanding picture to help us get a good understanding of the universe we live in.its a great book, and i hope it becomes an ebook soon

    Incredible book!

This book got me interested in astronomy, and has spurred me to learn a lot more about astronomy. I imagine that this book is good for anybody at any astronomy IQ level. It is an oversize book with huge, very high quality pictures printed on high quality paper. The images are truly stunning. This book is very comprehensive, starting with images and information of the Earth, the sun and all the planets of the solar system (with their moons), moving out into our Milky way, covering well known comets, etc, and other nearby galaxies, finally analyzing the latest theories including "dark matter" and the latest computer models of the universe. The text is concise but very well written and informative. If more people knew about this book, it would sell like pancakes. If you're thinking about getting it, then trust me you won't regret it. This is one of those books that you get lost in and it makes you think about your small place in this huge universe.
