W.E.B. Griffin captures all of the drama of the United States Marine Corps in his "The Corps" series. For me, this book was a bit of slow going, but enjoyable. The main disappointment was that his main character from the first tow books in the series, "Killer" McCoy is barely in the book. I was looking forward to seeing what he would be up to. However, the other characters in the book also have lives of their own that will suck you in.

    The bushes rustle again...

And a fox sprang out hissing furiously. Another cat was clawing it from the back. One cat was sitting in a bramble patch just big enough for a cat to get through. The cat in the brambles came out. Im Brindlefoot and that is my daughter Tawnyfeathers. She said. Im the healer. You can fight or heal. Just then Tawnyfeathers killed the fox. She bounded over. Hi! All of a sudden three more foxes sprout from the ground. Tawnyfeathers gasped and ran into battle. ((Bios result two

    Excellent

Worth the time to read - pleasant way to spend a few hours in the 1940s. Griffin does a nice job of relating to the USMCR world. Semper Fi!
