Recommended for Anyone
The verdict: This book is recommended for all students preparing for the Math II SAT. However, for those shooting for a perfect score, this book alone is not enough and should be supplemented with either Barrons or Sparknotes.
The book is presented in an easy to read format with important information in special boxes. The book¿s 4 practice tests (2 for Math I and 2 for Math II) mirror the difficulty and style of the actual test more than any other book on the market.
Many of the explanations for the practice questions are seriously lacking and just tell you to ¿plug the numbers/answer choices in¿ instead of teaching the concepts. At times it feels like the title of the book should be changed to ¿How to Be a Pro at Plugging Numbers in on the SAT MATH II.¿ The book is not comprehensive and does not cover every topic that could be tested on the actual exam. Instead, it is aimed at the more average student.
