    Love Has No Boundaries

Oui, love knows no boundaries as our protagonist proves. Alex du Villier, our main character, falls in love with a servant girl. However, he later learns the girl, Nicole, is a Creole from a once wealthy background. The chemistry between them is great, and they defy the societal codes of that era. Nonetheless, their love prevails.

Kat Martin gives the reader a warm insight into history during a difficult time in American society. Yes, love wins in the end -- Bravo. Keep writing Kat Martin, and I'll keep reading all your genres!

    Ugh.

The thing that total irritated me, was how the whole sequence of the story was on repeat. "I can't marry you..I love you..I can't marry you" blah blah blah. Then the story line completely stopped, like everything was suspended. Female angst meeting male emotional blindness makes a total loss of what could have been a good book. Especially when the characters repeat actions and words continually.

This is a book you never want to put down. I read this book in hardcover back in the 90's loved then and now!

Love Kat Martin. I buy everything she has ever wrote and will continue to buy anything she writes. One of the best!

This story is touching because it showed how a rich young lady can suddenly be alone in a man's world (during slavery days) and a handsome wealthy former neighbor saves her from the Auction Block then falls head over heels for her. Great book!

    A reviewer

Although I would have liked for more Creole words to be used I found this book a very enjoyable read. I couldn't wait to see what Nicole St. Clare would get herself into next. I didn't want the story to end.
