Great Book for teaching yourself to crochet
This is a great book! My mom tried to teach me to crochet but I just wasn't getting it and I've tried other books and they left me scratching me head going "what?" I have learned all of the stiches in th first workshop and have started using them in other projects. The lessons on the different stitches are great! They give you step by step instructions as well as pictures to match those steps. This was a Christmas present from my 20 month old and it was the best present I received. Was this review helpful? Excellent Learning Tool
This is a great book for a novice crocheter. I took one crochet class (with an excellent teacher - Linda Permann) and I have used this book to fill in the gaps. The diagrams and details are excellent and what I really appreciate is that it shows you where to place the stitches on an existing row. It is formatted as though you were taking a class, a set of skills and then a practice project. Wonderfully laid out and I am actually crocheting ... A word of advice for any crocheter - the quality of the yarn makes all the difference in the finished project. Buy the best yarn you can afford. Was this review helpful?
