If you like crosswords. THis is well worth the money. Instructions could be better so new users could more easily make use of the features. You need wifi to download puzzles to store on your Nook. You do not need wifi to work the puzzles that you have stored. There is a good selection of puzzles for download. I particularly like that I can download classic NY Times puzzles and the daily puzzles from the Boston Globe. There is no charge for these but if you have subscriptions to premium services (e,g, NYT) you can set up your login info and access within this app, This is not the app that comes preinstalled on your Nook. As for the suggestion that one should just buy a paper puzzle book - go for it if you want to. I, however, like to have the ability to work crosswords when I'm traveling or waiting for appts, etc. The Nook allows me to do this without having to haul around extra books.

Why buy more crosswords?

Because some people have finished all the puzzles that came with the nook originally. Geesh don't be such haters.

I would give it a five but...

Much better than the original app! The need to have available wifi is a big miss. It would be a great app instead of good if you could download a few crosswords to your system instead of being at the mercy of wifi availabilty. And yes people it is worth the price!

    Well worth the cost

I had previously purchased one of the NY Times crossword apps. This is far more worth the cost. Good selection, with more available daily, easy to organize. Glad I got it.

Well worth it if you are into crosswords

There's a new update that makes it easier to see (for those of us with bad eyes). Good selection of free puzzles. I have been using this for a few months aand really like it.

There's some sort of issue with some of the subscription puzzles, so be warned. That would be one great fix/improvement.

The only problems I have are that it can be difficult to delete multiple spaces (the program wants to delete the whole clue) and that the timed postings are clearly being gamed. Since I don't time myself, I'd like to disable that.
