don't forget the tissues

I've read 14 books of Linda Howards, and this one is by far the most moving. The story is one big emotional roller coaster that completly draws you in. Readers beware: the ending will leave you in tears! Otherwise enjoy!

The best Linda Howard book ever

This was my first Linda Howard book and it made me love her writing. This book is haertwarming, exciting and downright thrilling. I read this many years ago and lost my copy. So I got the e-book to keep it for my records. The premise of a young mother losing her child to child abductors and her fight to find her child even though it took her years and in the interim helps other couples find their missing children keeps you on the edge of your seat. I couldn't put this book down. I have since read a lot of Howard books and they are all good, but this is still my all time favorite.

    Wow

The push and pull of emotional intellect was a bit too accurate to be an imagined story. Basic freedoms never cease to amaze me. Thankyou for telling a hard story.

    Thoroughly depressing!

If you want a good love story written by Linda Howard, then read the Mackenzie books. If you're just looking for a good cry, then read this one. I thought the book was sad and was happy to finish it. This is not one I'll read again.

Get the tissues ready, this book is incredible.

You don't have to have children for this book to grab you by the throat. I have read it multiple times. I know exactly what is going to happen and where. I have yet to read it and not sobbed. Yes, I mean sobbed. This book is a masterstroke. Easily one of my top ten all time favorite books.

    Absolutely loved it!

I first read this book two years ago, I loved it then and love it more now. It's an incredible story about Milla, a young mother whose child is literally snatched from her arms in Mexico as a result becomes a crusader for missing children. As she gets closer to finding the ones responsible for taking her child her own life becomes increasingly in peril. With the help of Diaz; a man with an unsavory method of finding people, she gets closer to a resolution, though his intent becomes questionable. However the attraction between them is undeniable. Diaz and Milla have a very fluid chemistry which was believable considerding their opposing personalities and backgrounds. This is a smart read, you get a good look of the seedy underworld of child smuggling and murders. I loved the pace of the story and the mystery of it all. SPOILER: She marries Diaz they have three kids and yes, yes she absolutely finds her son.

    Very Slow

This book had very slow parts. I skipped over 50 pages and didn't miss a thing. The story line is great - emotional and moving, but a lot of pages could have been cut out of the book to make it SO much more appealing.

    Worth Your Time

Its so rare to find such a beautiful book. I cried throughout the entire book just thinking about losing a child. The ending couldn't have been better and will send tears down your cheeks.

A Mothers Love Knows No Bounds

This story shows a mothers love has no bounds. I cried and felt her grief and sadness. The characters are strong and savy and sexy....I could not put this book down.... I recommend it to all, note that this is not a light easy read this is a book that delves deep into human injustice and will evoke deep emotions

    Sweet

This book was heartbreaking. But I have to admit, because I'm not a mother (thank goodness) I couldn't see everything from her point of view. I do think the romance part of the story was really sweet. I think even though some of the people who read this book can't relate to the 'being a mother' part, I do think that they can relate to the attraction to dangerous, mysterious men like Diaz.
