three fun lightheaded feline romances
"Unleashed" by Katie MacAlister. Fish and Wildlife Officer Jacintha "kitty whisperer" Ferreira arrives at the Cupid Cats shelter to investigate a Moravian jaguar inside with a hangover. Instead of just a large feline she finds voices in her head courtesy of vampire Avery Scott.
"Cat Scratch Fever" by Connie Brockway. In Chicago, Widower Jim Curran takes his five years old Chloe to the nearby animal shelter so she can pick a kitten as her pet. However, the little girl insiststhat an elderly cat is her late mother's long-missing Pixie. While her father and shelter director Dr. Edith Handelman know that is impossible, no one bothered to tell the cat.
"A Cat's Game" by Vicki Lewis Thompson. While her sister is on vacation, Kate Archer manages her sibling's bed and breakfast in Bisbee, Arizona. Her first arrival is her high school sweetheart Jon Ramsey. It is the newly adopted cat who plays matchmaker.
These are three fun lightheaded feline romances as a cat stars in Kate MacAlister's urban fantasy and plays matchmaker in the other two tales.

I-I thought you left!" -Cougarfang to Cinderstar "Tell me about it!" -Cougarfang complaining Description:Cougarfang is a medium, long-haired, black-and-white she-cat with a pink nose, one black paw, a scar on her nose, a torn right ear, a scar across her legs, short whiskers, green eyes, and dark patches. She is the sister of Willowfur and Amberwolf. She is one of the kits of Sasha and Sparrow. Her Dark Forest mentor was a tom with the name of Clawface. He was formerly a ShadowClan cat. When Cougarfang asks about him, he replies that he was killed by a ThunderClan tom named Graystripe in the battle for WindClan's territory. She was seen leaving with Willowfur and Amberwolf when they traveled to RiverClan camp. She was given the name Cougarfang. Evenually, she misses her rogue life so much that she goes back to it. Even though they understand why she left, Amberwolf and Willowfur are very sad. Cougar goes deep into the forest in search of Sasha and Sparrow. She thought her home would be gone by now. On her way, she is stopped by a rogue who asks where she's going. Cougarfang replies in a hostile voice that she's searching for her mother and father. When the rogue asks her who her parents are, she replies they are rogues named Sasha and Sparrow. The rogue, surprised, tells her he has met Sasha before and that she used to be a kittypet who left when her Twolegs moved. He said they fought over a mouse at first. He also told her to beware of four Clans that lived in the forest not long ago. Cougarfang tells him that she used to be a RiverClan cat. She tells the rogue her name. The rogue replies that his name is Pine the rogue. Pine asks Cougarfang if they'd like to go hunting together. Cougarfang agrees. Together, they catch two voles. They eat their share by the river. Cougarfang teaches Pine how to fish. They soon start talking about their life. The two cats laugh. When night comes, they settle down in a den and sleep next to each other. The next day, they go hunting again. They meet three rogues named Heather, Ash, and Whiskers. Ash, the leader of the gang, tells them that they're on the land that belongs to him and his group of hostile and aggressive rogue cats. Pine unsheathes his claws. He snarls at Ash to fight him if he wants the land. Heather, Ash's mate, leaps on Pine and pins him down to the ground. Cougarfang fights the rogues. Finally, they win with the rogues fleeing. Whiskers hisses that they'd be back when they had the chance. Pine nuzzles Cougarfang as Cougarfang twines tails with him. Cougarfang meows that she loves Pine. Pine confesses his love to her too. The two cats laugh. They decide to become loyal mates to each other. Pine helps Cougarfang make a den to live in. Ash returns one day and captures Pine. Pine yowls he'd return one day as he's taken prisoner. Cougarfang is distraught. Cougarfang is one day pinned down by a she-cat. By her silken voice, she knows it's Willowfur. The two rogues are happy.

Cupids Cats to help you fall in love....
I am a recently turned huge Fan of Katie MacAlister. I had not heard of the other two authors of this novel, Connie Brockway or Vicki Lewis Thompson. However I was nicely surprised by the three-story collection. Each one it's own little gem of a story, and each author with their own style. Yet everything seemed to flow well as one story ended and another began. As a fan of Katie's, I was not disappointed by her story. As usual, she had me laughing out loud from start to finish with her novella. All three tales were tied together as they were based at their local Cupid Cats Animal Shelters and the magical matchmaking kitties finding true love for their new owners. Nothing like adorable cats to bring people together.

Magical Cats, oh my!
I must admit I have only read books by Katie MacAlister and not the other two, Connie Brockway or Vicki Lewis Thompson. As a die-hard fan of Katie's, I was not disappointed. As usual, she had me laughing out loud from start to finish with her novella entry in this Anthology, Unleashed. I did read the other two stories as well and enjoyed them thoroughly. All three tales were tied together as they were based at their local Cupid Cats Animal Shelters and the magical matchmaking kitties finding true love for their new owners.
