I really was looking forward to reading this win I got it. I really loved Across the Hall, and I was hoping to like this book as well. Once again she does not disappoint.
This a story of love and redemption. It is very emotional and is written brilliantly.
Mary is a small town almost girl who is just trying to make her way in a new big city. Because of what her mother went through, she is determined to help addicts get clean needles so she volunteers at Safe Works.
Ty is an ex-addict turned dealer who first sees Mary while waiting on a deal. He thinks she is an angel because of her blonde hair and beautiful face. He is instantly attracted to her. When they finally meet sparks fly and there is a strong connection between the two of them. Everyone warns Mary to stay away from Ty because he is bad news, but after an incident they start to form a 'relationship'. This relationship slowly turns in to love and they become a very happy couple.
But some secrets threaten to break them up. I won't give it all away, so must read it! Very good book and it gets a certified Nerd Alert A!

NM Facile has written a captivating love story with wonderfully intriguing and believable characters that takes an interesting look at harms reduction programs for those engaging in dangerous lifestyles in the contemporary romance Cure for Pain.
Ty Jaden is a young good-looking man, but he comes with a ton of baggage as a former heroin user with a prison record. Although out of prison and no longer using, Ty has not left dealing or supplying drugs behind. Mary Flynn turns Ty’s life upside down when he first sees her, looking like an angel in her white coat and blonde hair, and he knows that he has to meet her. When Ty and Mary finally meet, Mary is just as attracted to Ty. A teacher of at-risk youth, Mary is a new volunteer at the Safe Work, the local harms reduction program. I was drawn to Mary’s character because of her volunteerism and her desire to help others. Despite his reputation and multiple warnings from others, Mary takes a chance with Ty. Ty wants to be with Mary so badly, but he is afraid his past actions prove he’s unworthy of Mary’s love, making my heart break for him. Ty and Mary, although attracted to each other, work very hard at being friends first. Their courtship is a delight to read with them dating while trying to get to know each other. On these dates, Ty is so sweet with Mary that you just know how much he loves her, making him leading man material. The sexual chemistry between Ty and Mary progresses at a slow burn, so when they are finally intimate, the connection is electrifying, intense, and full of passion.
Facile does a masterful job of developing Faith, Mary’s best friend, which adds depth to this story. I loved that Faith locks horns with Mary over her relationship with Ty because it’s realistic that a best friend wouldn’t sit by while her friend could get hurt. But, by the end, Faith knows that Mary truly loves Ty because Mary sees something in Ty, making Faith a great friend.
With its well-drawn characters, a stunning plot twist, and a perfect romantic conclusion for this couple, Cure for Pain is a compelling story of love and redemption that with will touch your heart and have you thinking about this couple long after the last page is turned.
I received an eBook copy from the author for the purpose of an honest review. I was not compensated for this review, and all conclusions are my own responsibility.

What I like most about Facile's writing is that it feels real. The emotions, the people, and the situations in this book feel like they could actually happen. It makes it so much easier to connect with the characters when you aren't rolling your eyes about how ridiculous something sounds. I loved how she got down to the nitty gritty with the drug use and how it can affect people, but it didn't control the story. The main focus was on Mary and Ty.
Ty may have a record, but you can't help but fall in love with the man. There is so much more to him than what he has done in the past. Mary was a sweetheart and really took a chance when she started a relationship with Ty. I loved how their relationship progressed. There was no insta-love, but two real characters slowly getting to know one another that eventually led to great feelings. To me it almost felt like I was reading a true story and I loved that about this book.
I had no complaints and there was not a darn thing I would change! I can't wait to see what NM Facile will write next!
