Excellent for Teaching/Learning/Practicing Cursive
I used this book to help my 6th-grade-bound daughter practice cursive and my 4th-grade-bound daughter learn it. Their public school stopped teaching cursive after the US Education Dept. deemed cursive writing an "optional" skill under its Common Core States initiative. Yeah, go figure. I guess the next generations will just sign their names with a big old fat X. LOL. Anyway, in the book a few of the cap letters are a tad "overly elegant," I thought; however, overall, the letters are clear and easy to duplicate with the small numbers and arrows guiding pencil strokes. Easy for the kids to work independently and then show you their work, too. I also liked the exercises at the end of the book, which served a dual purpose--providing the kids with extra writing practice while also teaching them some fun and interesting world facts. Was this review helpful?
