    A waste of time!

I don't find this book explaining well on any single code and concept.

    Too Many Typos!

I found it very annoying that a 'Quick Start' book could be published with so many typos! I spent more time trying to work through the typos, than I did learning about DHTML.

    A good Start

This book is a good starting point, it covers the basics and in a manner that any one can follow. It is a good place to not only start, but to refresh your skills and you might pick up some new tips.

Not Up to Visual Quickstart Guide Standards

Visual Quickstart Guide: DHTML for the World Wide Web was the required book for a five-week university extension course I just completed. I am an experienced Senior HTML Programmer who was looking for a 'quick start' in learning DHTML and CSS. The book contains many typographical errors, non-existent references, and confusing examples. Unlike other books in the Peachpit Press Quickstart series, this book did not give me a 'quick start' in learning the subject matter.

addresses many points, but slightly lacking...

I purchased the book having had a lot of positive experience with other books from peachpit. I feel it gave a very strong overview of DHTML as a whole, but lacked in enough in-depth excercises/examples of how far the 'language' can actually be applied. Perhaps I am just jaded because of my own immersion in web design, but I would have to rate this at roughly an 80/100.
