Lucy pens "DJ's Lullaby" featuring a mother's uncondit

Lucy pens "DJ's Lullaby" featuring a mother's unconditional love. The story centers around adoption and how families grow to learn and love their adopted children...they are no different than if they were blood born. The beautiful illustrations by M.A. Moisa are hand drawn/colored and bring the story to life. Highly recommended for all adoption and blended families.

"DJ's Lullaby: A Mother's Love Song" is a children's book about a mom who was waiting and praying for a child for her to love. There are pictures, drawn by M.A. Moisa, that accompany Lucy Rivas Enriquez's text about the mom's mommy parts that are ready for the task: long arms for hugging, lips for kissing boo-boos, a silly streak for fun and all the important things needed for mothering, especially lots of heart. The mom doesn't give birth to the baby boy, but he is an angel sent in answer to her prayer. The tale concludes with a poem entitled DJ's Lullaby which is filled with a mother's love and happiness.

I am still smiling from reading "DJ's Lullaby". It is a beautiful and simple book that springs from the heart. The illustrations and text flow beautifully together. Enriquez catalogs everything needed to be a great mom, and each page shows one of those aspects. It is a great book for reading with a young child close by to share the joyful illustrations. It is also a wonderful tool for discussing adoption, and how adopted children are so special to the moms that heaven sends them to. The concluding poem is poignant and powerful and a testament to a mother's love. I hope that Enriquez and Moisa collaborate on future projects and recommend this book to parents, grandparents and anyone who knows a great mom or dad with a small child.

"DJ’s Lullaby: A Mother’s Love Song" is about a mom waiting for a baby that she can have a hold for her very own. And as she waits, she has all the necessary things she needs for this special little one. She has long loving arms and lips to hug and kiss her baby, she has quick feet to chase her little one, and plenty of songs and lullabies to sing to her precious baby. But most of all, she has a big heart, the kind of heart all moms need for that extra love they have for their babies. But one thing is missing, this mommy doesn’t have a baby. So she waited, and she prayed to God to send her a special little baby she could call her very own.

This is an adorable little book for moms who are waiting, or wanting to adopt a baby. As I read "DJ’s Lullaby", I could feel the heart of a special mom as she waits for that phone call telling her there is a baby waiting for her, and she will now be a mommy. And I love the heart-warming poem at the end of the book. What a special gift to have this poem to read to a little one who has been adopted. This poem takes readers into the heart of a mom who has adopted a child, assuring her child of her love, even though she did not give birth to him/her.

This is a wonderful, heartwarming story that should be read to all children. For those adopted, "DJ’s Lullaby" will assure them they can also be loved, and for children who are not adopted, this story will be a strong assurance to them.

Lucy Rivas Enriquez does a beautiful job in illustrating a mother’s love in her new book "DJ's Lullaby: A Mother's Love Song." This book describes the anticipation of a mother waiting for the newborn baby to enter the world while realizing all the features she has to offer love and kindness to the baby. She will have things such as arms for hugs, smiles to make the baby feel better and silly faces to make it laugh. This new mommy has songs in her heart to share with this wonderful gift God will be giving her. She has a heart filled with love and excitement as she waits for this special gift. One day while she was praying for this gift to come to her, there was an angel in heaven waiting to descend into the heart of this loving mother. While she has lots of qualities to offer this new born angel that has come into her life she also has a desire to sing a lullaby to him. This lullaby is filled with love and affection.

This is truly a book that will warm the heart of children and adults alike. It is a faith-filled book of how a mother prays to God to bless her with a precious little angel and describes how God abundantly blesses her by sending her an angel. This is surely a great tool to use in Sunday School and Children's Departments.

This book is so nice it makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside

This book is so nice it makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside.  It speaks of a woman who is waiting for her baby.  She has all the characteristics of a great mom.  It's even humorous when an illustration has the mother in a box that is labeled "mom parts."  The mother has arms for hugging, lips for kissing, legs for running / playing, etc.  There is a cute part where the author explains where babies come from.  It is essentially explained that children are angels from heaven.  That was nice and should make children feel special.  To be honest, I didn't realize this book was about an adopted child until I read the last page.  And I think that's the best part of this book.  If someone is reading this book with their adopted child, the child will feel all the love from the book and realize that an adopted child is just like a birth child when it comes to love.  I also liked how the illustrations were a mix of artistic mediums.  Sometimes it looked like there was marker, other times watercolor paint.  Overall, this is a great book that will touch the hearts of readers with a story of love and belonging.
