Excellent show. I have shown this in the classroom with 7th grade students, and they really enjoyed it. More importantly, they learned a great deal from it and realize how much they take modern comforts for granted. This is a great way to learn about the civilian experience in Britain during WWII.Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. The best PBS has ever done.
These 'House' series which are '1900,1940,Frountier, and Mannor House are the best works by PBS. They give reality TV a good name. They take a family, or sevral familes and put them in a house, in this case the British home front during the second world war. They are forced to live just as they would live if they really were in that time and place. It makes one truely apprecitae all the advancements that have been made not only in devices like a washing machine, but soical advances as well. This is a show you can watch with your entire family and enjoy. Never a boring moment. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback.
