Excellent, but the book is better

I was required to either read the book or watch the DVD for a class. At first I started to read the book (600+ pages), but only made it about halfway through before my assignment was nearing being due; so I got the DVD. The movie is very good: endearing, informative, well acted (incredible cast!), but the book has SO much more detail as to WHY people were acting the way they were/ thoughts they were having. There was not enough time to include it all in the movie, so you get a great "gist" of what happened. But if you have time to read the book, do it! :)

    Educational

Watching a movie from a 13 year old perspective showed me how awful AIDS AND HIV really is. I saw the movie with my class and enjoyed it greatly, it was very touching and exciting at the same time. I encourage everyone to see this movie, its a once in a life time!

    AIDS version of Farenheit 9/11

This movie was so moving. It was really informative on how AIDS first started out and how people reacted towards it. I totally agree that this should have been in the theatres and maybe the proceeds could go to an AIDS foundation of some sort. Everyone should watch this movie!!!
