More like "rope and hogtie your disbelief"
I'm almost sorry to be the nay-sayer to the glowing reviews below, but I just found it to be too much heavy lifting to suspend my disbelief this much. I think it's part of the film-maker's art to make it easy not to think critically when dealing with such a fanciful story. Also, I found the "Oliver Twist" parallel actually distracting from the story. The music was okay, just beyond improbable from such a source. Even Mozart took years of training to tap his ability. To just sit down and write music without someone teaching you notation is beyond ridiculous. I tried to enjoy it, but by the end I was extremely disappointed. Children might find it easier to swallow. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.
