Watch the original.  The only thing I disagree with when it pertains to the description above is that that original DID have a back story.  If you listened to the phone calls (spoil alert) you here the caller who is Billy recalling a time when his parents came home.  He was obviously babysitting his younger sister Agnes and killed her.  This is explained through a series of phone calls after the first one.  If you listen closely you will get the story.  So there is a back story to the first movie.  The first one makes you use your imagination which makes is so much better.

    Better than the original!!

I love scary movies. This was really good with plot twists. I liked how the screenwriter gave us background into Billy's past. He is creepy. The DVD extras were good too. I enjoyed Oliver Hudson & hope to see him in more films soon.

Don't take it seriously, but this was one of the best horror films of 2006. It was a remake, which made me leery, but had enough gore and humor to keep me entertained. The plot is, of course, out there, and the acting was anything but Oscar bait. In the end, you have to appreciate a good film that can laugh at itself. But if you haven't seen it, see it by X-mas time.

Remakes after from when a stranger calls to the upcoming hitcher remake which is coming soon anyway and the upcoming halloween remake we now have another called Black Christmas of the same name as the original. You have the same plot somewhat the characters though a backstory on the killer and a new twist at the end as always.

This movie was awesome! Okay I will admit that you have to get past the usual random story plot and acting, but it was very entertaining to say the least. Worth a watch for any horror lover!

    Creepy and Funny!

Black Christmas is a remake to the (1974)classic horror film which was great. In this version of the film everything the film had in the first had.I actually like this film because it had a somewhat all star cast, some creepy scenes and some funny scenes, and of course the killer.I think the film was not like the first film, but over all the film was good and I recommended it to any horror fan.
