    I Also Recommend:

Matt and Trey at their best!!!

If you are a South Park fan, you MUST check out this movie. This is the first production Matt and Trey did. You will laugh from beginning to end. I also highly recommend watching it the second time with audio commentary. Matt and Trey talking about how they filmed each seen is hilarious.

    I Also Recommend:

The most inspired musical of all time!!!!!!!!

This is a fantastic film and amazing musical. Trey parker is extremely talented and judging by how good this movie is he's had that talent for a good while. The movie is based on the true story of Alfred Packer, the only person in American history to be convivted of cannibalism. He is a legend in Colorado, which is where the movie was filmed and where most of the crew is from. They made the movie while attending the Univerisy of Colorado. You can definately tell that South Park was on there minds when they made this film. And if you listed to the commentary you find out a lot of fun facts about South Park, like how Chef was created while Trey Parker, Matt Stone, and Jason McHugh were tripping on LSD. Anyway this is a great film and a definate must see for all who claim to be fans of Trey Parker.

A must see for Parker/Stone fanatics

I went into watching this with low expectations...after all, it was a low budget college student film project. Much better than I thought. You really see a lot of the genesis of South Park by watching this. Trey is immensely talented and is deserving of all his fame and fortune. Also, just one note about this film: if the opening notes to one of the songs on the movie seems familiar it is. Its the music playing at the end of every South Park episode when you see the Braniff Airlines picture.

Cannibal makes you hungry for more!

Cannibal was Trey's first movie, and I strongly believe his best work! I love musicals.. and Trey Parker so I figured I'd give this puppy a try--I'm not too into blood and such. But this movie is so corny with the blood scenes.. it just adds to the fun, up-lifting mood of the whole movie. I stronly suggest you see this if you're a fan of ANY of Trey's work... you will no doubt love what you see!

    Brilliant!!!!

I strongly believe that Trey Parker and Matt Stone could be among the very best writers in comedy history! Some people say that Baseketball and Orgazmo are stupid, pointless films, well I disagree. You have to realize the sense that they are portraying the codemy in. I have just watched cannibal the musical for the first time and I must say it is a laugh out loud funny film. Also in remarks to the review above about Bad Taste, that my friends is a 4 star movie. If you haven't seen it I strongly reccomend it, directed by Peter Jackson (Director of Lord Of The Rings) one word, CLASSIC.... Derricks never die!!!!!

    Better than you might think.

This film is supposed to be a parody of western musicals, such as ''Oklahoma!'', but the musical numbers are really beyond being just parody. It's good enough to be called a legitimate musical. Any violence portayed is cartoonish hollywood FX, and the off-color subject of cannibalism is treated with a light touch, not unlike ''A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum'' exploiting slavery and prostitution for laughs. Thirty years from now this film should stand beside the other noteworthy musicals of the 1990's. Woody Allen and Trey Parker have both demonstated that the film genre of musical comedy is still alive.
