Dogs rule!
A really witty and fun look at an alternate history of dog and cat "domestication". It all makes sense now. I've often wondered why a dog will defend you but a cat will leave you to your destiny and hope things work out. It's because cats are trying to take over the world!! I really enjoyed this movie for the excellent voice over acting, especially Sean Hayes, Jon Lovitz and Joe Pantoliano. Come on all you cat lovers, give this film the five stars it deserves!! Dogs rule!

CATS ARE NOT EVIL!!!!!!
Here's the basic summary: Dog, man's best friend, fighting the evil, manical schemes of Mr. Tinkles and his feline followers... Lou, who's the star of the show, is the cute puppy, the hero! No such luck for the cats, all big, burly, ferocious creatures! Can't the cats ever be the good guys? Why are dogs are always the glorious heroes! I just get tired of it! This movie would have been deserving of 5 stars with its comedy and wit, had it only had at least one friendly, cuddly kitten!

consistently amusing
I am not usually a fan of this type of film, but the clever dialogue and a wonderfully twisted performance by Sean Hayes as the evil Mr. Tinkles has made this a film that I have enjoyed multiple times. Lobbing one assassin after another at an unsuspecting family, he finally has to resort the unforgettable Russian Blue.

Smartly, the movie has a short enough running time that the premise does not run out of steam before its climax. The movie manages to riff on several James Bond film and even James Camerons's "Aliens." It even pokes fun at its own premise in such scenes as when one of the characters is told to defuse a bomb by pulling the red wire and he complains that he can't because dogs a colour blind.
Not Oscar material but consistently amusing and at times down right funny. -

I hope it rains cats and dogs, so they all die, so they can't film a movie with them again
this movie gave a bad name to cats and dogs globally. I will now list all the qualities that it lacks: unpredictability, a plot, character development, intelligent filming, a climax, protagonist etc.

Cats are NOT EVIL!
This movie was good except for the evil cats. The cats SHOULD conquer the world, now THAT would be a good movie! (or it could AT LEAST have had a rebel cat, or something, that was on the dogs' side!)

Quite funny
The film is hilarious in some places and mind numbing in the others. Mr Tinkles was the highlight of the film, he was a pure act of genious! The human actors never really came up to scratch, but I do not blame the actors, more the script! Jeff Goldblum is a brilliant actor, but not in this film! The voice overs were excellent, especially those of Mr Tinkles, I really loved that cat!
