Too much dance, not enough meaningful dialogue
The actors are mostly 'unknowns,' at least no one I have heard of before. There is nothing wrong with that, except at times the actors seem like they are more comfortable with ballet than acting. Although all of the actors are obviously talented dancers, their on screen acting leaves much to be desired. The plot of this movie is basicly the same as every other teenage coming-of-age movie. Girl goes far away and finds 'herself' and love through hard work and heartbreak. The movie is slow to start, and becomes cluttered as the plot progresses. The characters rarely have meaningful interactions with each other, unless they occur on the dance floor -- without dialogue. This is only a problem because the the story focuses not on one or two characters, but on six different people, which makes things a little confusing. Overall, the characters lack dimension. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.
