    A wonderful choice

I have read many books on Chakra balancing and healing. While they were interesting and informative, none have helped me achieve balance. Keeping in mind that I have only taken a handful of yoga classes in my life and I found them somewhat dry. So I was somewhat apprehensive to try the DVD but found myself pleasantly surprised. The series of poses were not as hard as I thought they would be and when I finished with the first session I was relaxed and loose and felt lighter than I have in years. Sharon Gannon led me to the path and I am following with devotion. The music is soft and relaxing and the narrator keeps you from feeling lost, allowing you to concentrate on healing. After only three sessions I won't say I am completely balanced yet, I feel confident that I am well on my way. Happy healing!

Not Exactly What I Was Hoping To Get But, Will Do For Now

Easy to perform. Useful to assist if you are not a yoga fanatic. I was looking for this particular "Chakra" yoga but the chanting is annoying. What I am familiar with the chants are held long and slow.
Music is ok. Relaxing and not disturbing or annoying.
Introduction is also good but brief on the background of Chakras.
And the one big turn off is that the teacher refers to"eating meat" is being mean to animals. And it was a real distraction when she brought this thought into the yoga program. It happens right in the middle of the class and if you eat meat it leaves you distracted so I just chanted louder and longer. I would recommend this to beginners.
I can be useful to get you on track with chakra engergies.
Otherwise it will do for now.
