    Deceptively Deep

I don't know how many of you are shoppers out there, but while I think this movie will appeal to a lot of viewers, it is especially enthralling to all of us "shopaholics".

While I started watching the film merely expecting another random zany comedy, I was very suprised to find how much it actually affected me. I seriously felt a few moments of dread, of a sick feeling in my stomach, and of extreme empathy. Naturally, my boy friend was completely clueless as to why I was "overreacting" so severely, so I turned to him and said, "Sweetie, for me, this is like looking into a possible future, and being horrified by it."

Several of my friends felt the same way. For any of us out there who happen to love shopping, this movie is both funny and horrifying at the same time. I think it gets across a strong message that an addiction to shopping is just like an addiction to anything else, drugs, alcohol, gambling, whatever.

To cut to the chase,(with a pleasantly cushy veneer of slap-stick comedy) this movie details the life of a young woman as she struggles through an illness that, let's admit, we all sometimes write-off. The story progresses with a pleasing flow and dynamic and ends happily with a PG friendly conclusion of warm fuzzies and lessons for just about everyone.

All in all, its a perfect movie for those days when you feel like having some random hilarity in your life, and doubles as a movie equally deserving of late-night and/or coffee shop discussions.

    Spend $, Spend $, Spend $!

The movie "Confessions of a Shopaholic" is a story of how debt may eventually destroy your life and ruin your credit. The protagonist is so addicted to shopping it is taking over a large portion of her entire life. The storyline reveals how an addict will try to hide the addiction that is unraveling his/her finances and leads to an endless array of lies. It explains how addiction makes some people "crazy" in love with their object of affection. Digging a debt ditch is dangerous and could be a door to long-term financial damage. *The come-to-life mannequins were a riot. This is a good movie for females ages twelve and older.
