Proof that true friendship cannot fade
This series is a blinding example of how the deep the bonds of friendship truely go. Throughout this shining example of quitessential 90's pop culture the underlying theme is that the love you have for the family you make can survive just about anything.
Over the years the young group go through an overwhelming amount of curveballs that life throws at them. Although this series is quite easily labeled a "teen drama" it explores avenues that other shows would not touch. It is continuously self effacing, and lamp shades shamelessly. All the while laughing at its $20 words, and who-will-sleep with whom antics that made the show so popular to begin with.
The show also keeps a breath of realism. When many shows journey with the characters from the same high school to the same college, DC breaks this mold. In the 5th and 6th seasons the characters realistically grow apart. They form their own independent lives, and thrive on their own. However, they are reunited, and their bonds are solitified in the series finale.
Wonderful show... great acting, ultimately very satisfying all the way around.
