Suspenseful Yet Credible
Disclosure is an adaptation of Michael Crichton's novel by the same name and as such carries with it the same deficiencies in plot. The acting is, as expected, superb and though the plot is credible, the intricate conspiracy against Douglas is at times not entirely credible or realistic. Was this review helpful? Still, the film presents the issue of sexual harassment in context and in accurate light such that it provokes thought on a significant and relevant social problem. Where the film lacks in plot it more than makes up in suspense. This film keeps you on the edge of your seat up until the final moments. And as in real life, we learn that good does not always conquer evil; sometimes it just makes evil take a slight vacation.
