    Love Dragons

This fim has withstood the test of time with all of its special effects. Great casting & filming. One of Peter McNichols earliest roles. If you like Dragons then you'll love this one.

    A reviewer

i saw this when i was a kid but remember one or three scenes. this was a weird and creepy film about i think a beginner sorceror, meets a shy woman and of course the sacrifice girl to a dragon type thing. caught this film again on tv and was glad to see it again. i love dragons and fantasy type films especially those that were back in the 80s with little and i mean little CGI and stuff. those were the days that movies were awesome. oh well long live the dragon. this is one of those movies you remember but forgot the name.

    Good movie

It was enjoyable. The dragon was really well done for a movie that came out 26 years ago. I didn't like the ending though.

    Dragonslayer on DVD

Several years ago, I purchased this title on LaserDisc. I've just finished converting it to DVD with chapter points. If it were available, I'd purchase a commercial DVD version, but can't wait. We're about to sell off all our Laserdiscs and the player along with them. Great movie! The PG rating makes it a family affair and the values taught are good eg. honor, valor, real love(not Hollywood's version), etc. Timeless.......

Timeless Tale, Well Done, Can Only Improve With Age

It's hard for we people of the Internet Age to believe in dragons. Harder still flying dragons. And fire breathing ones as well, forget it! But this movie accomplishes the impossible. IF there ever were such beasts, or if there ever will be, THIS is what they would look like and how they would act. Similarly, if there ever were aged Sorcerers with young apprentices, then THESE are the ''Real McCoy.'' IF these animals and people ever existed, or will exist, THIS is the weird country they MUST exist in and the exciting things that they would HAVE to do. Thus, it should be no surprise that this movie has about it an air of familiarity, not quite predictability, but, most of all, inevitability. What more can we ask of a timeless fantasy? The more we see it, the better we realize it is. Like most real things it doesn't explode every other scene. But that supersonic-styled Dragon ...! I have this in Beta and just saw it again on DirectTV. I can't wait for some genius to put it on DVD where it belongs along with The Wizard of OZ, Ladyhawk (with the horse), Blade Runner, True Grit, High Noon and all the other great, timeless adventures.
