When I saw this movie for the first time, it literally changed my life. I felt so calm and peaceful after that I went out and bought the book to see if the effects were the same. This true story of a woman's travels and life altering decisions is an amazing way to find the problems in your life and fix them. This is definitely a great addition to any movie collection.

THIS was what all the hype was about???

If it weren't for Javier Bardem, this movie would be a total loss. A woman, defined by her relationships with men her whole life, sets out on a journey to find herself. And guess what she finds -- you got it. A man. The lesson here is that if you look like Julia Roberts you can always find "yourself". Nice visuals, though.

    love it.

Love love love this movie. Who wouldn't want to take an adventure like this one? I just finished a book where the lead character also goes on a self-discovery tour. The Australian Pen Pal by Michelle Linn-Gust is a wonderful exploration of what we'll stand when dealing with loss and rediscovery. If you love Eat,Pray,Love as much as I do, I think you'll enjoy the Australian Pen Pal, too.
