This is the BEST movie on Queen Elizabeth ever made!

I fell in love with this movie after seeing it's debut on HBO. After seeing it over and over again on cable, I was delighted to find it on DVD. You can watch this movie again and again and still find new things about it to enjoy. The acting is amazing, costumes increadible and scenery to die for. While there is some sexual content, most of the movie is appropriate for young adults and families to enjoy.

    I love this movie

I was so impressed by the great acting of all the actors in this miniseries. helen mirren gave a powerful performance with her potrayal of Elizabeth, Jeremy Irons was good too, and so was Hugh Dancy. They also captured the essence of the century well and I recommend anyone who likes historic drama to watch it.

    Helen Mirren as Elizabeth I

This is quite a different presentation of the queen's life. Judging from it i can surmise it was taken from Christopher Hibbert's biography of Queen Elizabeth I. Mirren gaved a powerful performance that merited an Emmy for her! I am recommending this for Royal Biography fans all througout the world!!!

A New Take on Elizabeth I

The the settings and costumes were true to the Elizabethian period. The story was slightly different from other versions of her life. The recap ending was quite enchanting.
