Confused?

I was really surpised to find out that God was a football fan. And that he had a favorite team, no less! It was sweet of him to take time out of his schedule to help his club win. You go God!!!

    I Also Recommend:

Unforgettable movie produced by Sherwood Baptist Church in Albany, Georgia.

Facing the Giants was the second movie produced by Sherwood Baptist Church, but the first to be shown nationwide.

It's the story of Grant Taylor, a football coach struggling at getting his team to work as a team when playing football. After six losing seasons, Grant faces the possible loss of his job as well as finding out he and his wife can never have any children of their own.

I disagree with the critic who said the movie lacks dramatic tensions after Grant comes to term with the purpose of life. The challenges are still there, but Grant vows to do his best and leave the results up tot the Lord. His personal conflicts at home are less, but building the team up and guiding them to the playoffs are just as dramatic and keep up the tension to the very end of the movie.

Even though most of the actors were amateurs -- volunteers from Sherwood Baptist Church -- the acting was good quality and the story is very inspiring. I see some parallels between Jonathan and David of the Old Testament and Jonathan and David in Facing the Giants. I gave this story five stars because that was the limit, but I'd gladly give it a ten.

I recommend this movie for everyone's personal library.

    I was so inspired!

Very inspiring movie! It made me thank God for everything I have. Below is, "We are Marshall" which is a football story that makes your faith stronger although this movie is quite different.

One of the very best movies I have ever seen!

Having seen God perform countless answers to prayer and many miracles in my own life, I was thrilled to see this wonderful movie! May God bless this anointed film and the dedicated Church and Christians who had any part in it! I have been buying this movie and giving it to others with a prayer in my heart that God will use it over and over again...and I am certain He will. Definitely one of the most powerful movies I have seen. Also great for church viewing. PRAYER WORKS! Glory to our eternal God!!

Facing the Giants is a hit!

This moving movie is probably the best flick for a family to watch. It shows that nothing is impossible with God's help. The movie goes through the trials of a coach who has just lost his 6th season of football in a row, his car keeps breaking down, parents are talking about getting rid of him since he hasn't had a winner season since he has been coach, his washer works half the time, he barely makes enough money to keep his wife and him afloat, and to top it off he learns he can't have children. Totally defeated he has only one thing left he can do, put everything in God's hands.Filled with great special features which include deleted scenes, interviews and film commentary, this is a most for everyone to see.

Great Movie( Len, from a few posts away is wrong)

Hey len from a few posts back...or should i saiy...hey "true christian"....yes i do belive this movie could reuslt in false teachings but it is simply showing all the amazing things God can do....its not telling you that all of this will happen.its just saying what He can do...and that is ANYTHING....it is supposed to be an insirational movie...if it wasnt the way it is...it would be a boring movie...and it is not right to downplay this movie for people who may have found it uplifting and may have used this movie as another way to connect with God....That behavior isnt exactly living up to your "true christian" self.

We need more like this one!

As a sports fan with children, this movie is awesome. The coach and the team learn some hard lessons about what they prioritize in life. My kids got to see the importance of living for a purpose, and an example of how having a better attitude and always doing your VERY BEST helps you in football and in life.

    Powerful

This movie was powerful, real and to the point. If you like inspirational themes like Lean on me, Akeelah and the Bee, Dangerous Minds this movie will appeal to you. It had little to do with drama and theatrics but more to do with how faith in God can make anything possible. I recommend Facing the Giants to Parents, Youth Leaders, Teachers, young people and all those looking to enjoy a movie with Purpose.

WOW! Great things happen when people follow their vision. This movie is definitely a testimony to that. After watching it I knew I had to get my copy but also knew that it was too good to just keep to myself.

This is inspirational, plain and simple. While there may the occasional bit of cheese here and there it still never stops in its message. You have got to be able to take charge of your life for the better.

    Giants

I was required to watch this movie for a class that I had. I usually dread watching movies associated with classes. However, I found that this was a great movie. It is a good family movie, and it really shows the possibilities that can come when one trusts in God.
