The story is a little choppy in the first half, but that's more than compensated for once the plot gets off the ground. The scene at the end around the giant snow globe is among the most touching I've ever seen (especially if you're a parent; there is a beautiful metaphor there that all parents will recognize). I have purchased the soundtrack mostly for the Sinead O'Connor version of Silent Night in that stunning scene, but the rest of the music is right on as well. And best of all, there is very little for a parent to be embarrassed about while watching with the kids.

Paul Giamatti is superb in this movie - once again showing his amazing versatility - and Vince Vaughn is hilarious. Was this review helpful?
