This movie should have been the ONLY Halloween movie because unl

This movie should have been the ONLY Halloween movie because unlike the other Halloween movies this is not a stupid slasher flick! This movie is more psychological in its horror then just having a dummy running around in a mask slashing people! The BEST Halloween movie!-Buy this one and forget the others!

    AWESOME

When it came out and to this day, most did not like this film... No Laurie... No Loomis... No Michael Myers... However... HALLOWEEN 3, written and directed by Tommy Lee Wallace is a terrific departure for the series with apocalyptic overtones... The cast, headed by Tom Atkins (a Carpenter favorite) and Stacey Nelkin are good, however, it is Dan O'Herlihy as "Cochran" who gives the film it's standout performance. The man is EVIL... trust me. A toy shop owner discovers that a set of 3 styles of masks, made by a famous toy and gag maker, Cochran... are actually part of a larger plot to kill everyone in a global sacrifice.
After his death, the doctor who took him as a patient and the man's daughter team up and investigate...

There are two things on the technical side that make the pic really stand out... Dean Cundey's photography and the John Carpenter/Alan Howarth score. Both are world class.

The film is quite violent/disturbing and even gross... the final moments are quite intense as the end of the human race hangs in the balance.

A must see...

    A Three for Halloween 3

One of the weirdest in the series of "Halloween", "Halloween 3: Season of the Witch", which strays away from Mike Meyers, and his reign of terror over the city of Haddenfield. The funny thing about this movie is that, this was probably an atempt to do something different with storyline of the series, maybe to try to change it up to create other plots or stories using the halloween theme. Hallween 3 is a strange movie to understand, simply because it doesn't have anything to do with Michael Meyers, the Strode family, or any of the other characters that had any relation, involvment, or encounter with Micahael Meyers. Why the makers of this particular film gave it this treatment, is a complete mystery, to fans and maybe even to John Carpenter himself. It's to bad the filmmakers couldn't have waited until they had the plot for 4, that they could have used for three instead. Not a bad movie, but it makes for an unusual break in the momentum of the other "Halloween" movies. I m looking foward to part 9 Halloween:Retribution. The suspence is killing me.

    It was ONLY Ok.

Ok, so it didn't have anything to do with the original story line. Ok, but lets look at the bright side: It was a fairly good shlasher film. So Micheal wasn't in it- It wasn't scary- but it was interestiong what Tommy Lee-Wallace had for us. Don't ya think?

Did anybody actually like this movie? I suppose though it isn't too late to have this movie relate to Halloween.

    It was horrible!!

It had nothign to do with Meyers or Laurie wich really sucked. It was completely stupid and a horrible edition to the series. I think the creator knew it was so bad that the only way to get anyone to go watch it was to trick them inot thinking it was an actual edition to the Halloween series so they stuck Halloween int the title. It was horrible!!!

    Absolutely Awful

This was a horrible movie. It was pointless and lame. It didn't deserve the Halloween title when it wasn't even scary. The plot of killer Halloween masks because of the powers in an Irish factory when they stole a bit of Stonehenge made me laugh. It was THAT bad. I pity anyone who rents/buys this, because you're not getting your money's worth.
