    more from this reviewer

    I Also Recommend:

Halloween 8 was okay, at times the characters got a little annoying. It was interesting to see Michael's house, although we did see it in the other movies so...

The beginning was good where sadly it was the character Laurie's last appearance. But I thought maybe it would fit better near the end, instead of yet another cliffhanger. Question though, where's John, Laurie's son? Wasn't Michael going to go after him too? The story is Michael goes back home but finds people there who are exploring the house and etc. I'm hoping for a Halloween 9 where it should end the series, having bring back the old characters while introducing a new character as well. Maybe it's just me? There's the remake and its sequel...not seeing that. Just watch the original and the sequels...ignore part 3...Happy Halloween!

    Alright

This movie was not the best one I've ever seen but it was sure better then some other "scary" movies. There was great music to keep the suspense going but, I'm not sure I believed that the guy went 16 years without talking and that she killed him but he coomes back to life. However, there were some great parts during it so, I would watch it if I were you.

    Halloween 8

So this merely continues after the cliffhanger in part 7 where sadly Laurie is kept in an institution explaining how she ended up there. Michael then reappears FINALLY settling the score he had after so many many years. then a new generation of characters is introduced and have have some reality show involving Meyer's home from the original. this one did not bad and has yet another interesting to be continued moment. No doubt an okay movie.

    Not better than the rest

I want to thank this movie, it really helped me fall asleep. I mean Hello I love this movie but it is so not scary. The other movies in this series were MUCH better. Recommended just for fun, not to be shocked and scared!

Compared to the rest Not the very best

This movie had a great storyline except for them leaving Lauries son out of it. This was a dissapointment, with all the one liners, they began making Michael Myers into a joke. If you like comedy with a little suspence this is for you, but if you're like me and like old school horror like the original, this is nice if you just want it to add to your collection.

    scary but pethetic

ok now i love halloween as much as the next person but hey they are running out of idears. if theres ganna be a halloween 9 for heven sake get lorrie to kill him. halloween resurrection isent the worst halloween movie and thats not hard if uve seen 4 5 and 6 but i really think someone desided im gonna write a halloween movie in one night. all i can say is its becoming like jason movies BORING AND THE SAME OLD STUFF. The main problem is that micheal myers is killing those people for no reason and micheal always has some twisded reason. i think that if you had to watch a halloween movie watch the first two before you see resurrection

Keeps on Going and Going and Going and....

I'm old enough to have seen the original when it first came out in the theatre. There was nothing else like it at the time and, IMHO, it set the standard for today's modern horror. Friday the 13th came next. The trouble is that all of the Halloween sequels (forget Season of the Witch, what were they thinking?) all tried to capture the original mood of the first. Sadly, you really can't go home again and this movie proves it. It has some good, scary moments but adding the Blair Witch aspect to the story just makes it sillier. Too bad they chose this one to kill off Jamie Lee Curtis' Laurie Strode character. Catch this one only if there's nothing worthwhile on Discovery or something.
