    Biography - Based Movie

I enjoyed it rather much when I first saw it. I am a big Beatles fan, but as you watch this DVD, you learn so much more about Beatles John Lennon's music, love life and short-lived, but legendary music career with the Beatles and on his own.

Peace, Love, And John Lennon Fighting for It

John Lennon is an amazing person. The movie is fantastic bcause its about his life, his dreams, the Beatles and fighting for what he wanted. It was all just so much to take in. How tradgic his childhood was to how tradgic his death was. You just get this broken heart feeling that rushes out of your soul. If you are into this kinda stuff like me then you should watch it instantly. But if your not just give it a chance and try something new.

Imagine: John Lennon - The Definitive Film Portrait

I was looking for something special, other than an ordinary documentary about the Beatles: an insight into John Lennon, and I found the answer. Narrated by Lennon himself, the film explores his true nature as a musician, a husband, and a fighter for peace – all for the sake of love. Poignant and full of rare studio shots, we see Lennon outside the mass-media career. From heated debates over political themes, to his simple outlooks on life in general, this film allows fans to formulate their personal opinion of the man without the help of secondary information. This is the real John, an autobiography in sound and scenes - a gem!

Imagine: John Lennon - The Definitive Film Portrait

I was tired of reading biographical books and watching the same kind of movies where many friends of Lennon's and the Beatles' were interviewed. I knew the story inside out from press and media resources. I wanted something that would captivate me as much as John's songs do. And I found it. The first thing that caught my attention was the line: narrated by John Lennon. That's what I've been looking for: the utmost truth about this man through his own words. This documentary gives an intimate look at Lennon and his life. We get to see lots of rare footage of the Beatles' preformances. We get to see John in his own studio, recording songs that reflected the main principles of his fight for life, for peace, and for hope. We see him as a man of optimism who, like all of us, have our faults and take wrong steps, but whatever John did, he took the responsibility totally upon himself in hoping for the outcome. This movie shows no prejudice toward John Lennon it simply presents him to the world in his beautiful simplicity and deeply human nature. I was very pleased and pleasantly surprised, both with the unbiased "view" that Andrew Solt gives us and the huge archival footage that he used. Lennon fans and just people interested in discovering the man who wrote "Imagine" - you won't be disappointed!
