Magnificent!!! Even better than the great Vol. 1

Last year, Entertainment Weekly voted the Looney Tunes Golden Collection the number one DVD of the year, and there was little reason to doubt why. WB cartoons are the greatest animated works in film history, full of humor, wit and a sense of anarchy. Again, this 2nd volume assembles a host of beautifully restored shorts, bursting with Technicolor, but this time we get some of the very best cartoons, including earlier works that hadn't yet been restored in time for last year's collection. Chuck Jones' memorable WHAT'S OPERA, DOC? and ONE FROGGY EVENING are here to please their fans, plus a host of Road Runner masterworks and other Jones signature pieces like THE DOVER BOYS. The amazing Bob Clampett is well represented with his surrealistic GREAT PIGGY BANK ROBBERY, BABY BOTTLENECK, THE BIG SNOOZE, PORKY IN WACKYLAND (in glorious B&W!) among the classics. Friz Freleng is on hand with a host a great Bugs Bunny cartoons including LITTLE RED RIDING RABBIT and BUGS BUNNY RIDES AGAIN, plus a slew of Tweety & Sylvester adventures. The incredible Tex Avery is here, too. His unforgettable I LOVE TO SINGA bursts off the screen along with HOLLYWOOD STEPS OUT and many more. ...but if that wasn't enough, each disc is stuffed with amazing documentaries and extras, sure to satiate any TRUE fan of WB animation. Superbly crafted with thought and creativity. Final proof once and for all why Warner cartoons remain vital and hysterical, while Disney cartoons seem dull and terribly unfunny! GO for the GOLDEN, Volume 2!!!!!
