    Breath stealing and awe inspiring

While it is listed as a documentary, "Man on Wire" is unlike any documentary I've ever seen. Filmed interview style and interspersed with home video footage taped by Phillipe and his friends, this is one of the best movies I've seen in a very long time.<BR/><BR/>Phillipe describes his utter obsession with the World Trade Centre Towers before they were even built and his plan to string a wire between them and walk it. He also details the intricate planning involved in pulling off such a feat and how he and his partners were nearly caught multiple times.<BR/><BR/>The film is utterly amazing and leaves you blown away. By the time it's done you are ready to string up your own tightrope in the backyard. It is definitely worth buying, even if you haven't seen it yet.

    truly extrodinary

This is an amazing film, of an amazing feat! Almost certainly never to be equalled or surpassed. I had never heard of the WTC walk until this movie. My only criticism is that philip petain gives no credit to his crew, without whom he would not have been able to pull this off. Everyone should watch this truly extrodinary act of art and sheer audacity!

    more from this reviewer

    A little boring

It tells the story of a guy that strings a wired between the twin towers and tight rope walks between. It gets a little boring and I was hoping for more.
