i now have all of the dvds in this series. this show always makes me laugh and feel good about the simolicity of the times. I would receoomend this and other dvds of the timeframe, to "go back" to a simpler time and just get a good laugh! this bible says "it works good like a medicine"

    Mary Tyler Moore in 1974!

It is now 1974, and Mary Tyler Moore has been associate TV producer at WJM TV for four years. The cast is well-known now, so stories are more interesting. Mary has to deal with the separation of her boss, Lou Grant, and his wife, Edie, which affects the office. She still has her crazy neighbor, Rhoda, and landlady, Phyllis, who keep things exciting at home. Story lines include Ted, the newsman, running for political office; Mary and Lou taking writing classes at night school; and miscellaneous dating disasters, all hilarious. Just looking at the "cool" clothing and apartment decor is enough to make anyone laugh! My daughters and I have already watched the entire series twice, and intend to watch certain episodes over and over again. Enjoy!

A terrific way to spend an hour or two.

One of the best tv series ever. When are they going to give us seasons, 5,6, and 7? the best in laughs and fun.

    Real Life Humor

This show contains some of the best writing ever on television. Every episode has humor that is insightful and to which you can relate. I keep waiting for the rest of the series to come out on dvd. Every episode sparkles with wit. Watching will turn your black mood ring bright blue as tension and stress are banished by laughter.

    So many good laughs

A wonderful mix of actors who knew how to read their lines. Outstanding writers who could do stories that didn't need four letter words. I watch them often because today's TV is not worth my time. Would like to see the rest of the seasons on DVD as well as those of Bob Newhart.

The best TV series in history!

In my humble opinion, the best and funniest TV series in history! My goal is to get all 7 seasons - I believe it was 7- on DVD. Truly a way to escape into a more innocent time and have a great laugh! Wonderful stress-reducer indeed. Thanks Mary, Lou, Ted, Maury, and company!

    The Best

I just love these shows! I don't understand why the rest of the series has not been recorded for sale. I would love to buy them. They are sooo uplifting and funny.
