I thought this was an extraordinary piece of cinema. Much of it
I thought this was an extraordinary piece of cinema. Much of it is visual poetry, with no explanation needed. I was so spellbound by it that I didn't realize the planet couldn't always be in view of the main characters because the earth HAS to rotate or all sorts of cataclysmic things would be happening before the end of the film, but then there's also the intriguing and unflinching look at personal states of depression. The metaphorical drama really had me interested, along with the sisters' reversed roles in the two halves of the narrative: Justine's a wreck while Claire manages to control her anger and bitterness, then Claire falls apart while Justine quietly accepts things as they are, though not without the occasional blunt statement. I'm extremely picky about what films I buy, but I'll be purchasing this one soon! Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.
