    My Favorite Hayley Mills Movie!

First off I want to say that I have seen parts of the Lindsay Lohan remake on TV and I thought it looked like a cute, entertaining movie but this original Hayley Mills version is my favorite. As a child of the 1970's I grew up watching this movie as it used to be shown on television a lot (this was before VCR's and DVD players) When I got a VCR in the 80's I bought this movie on video tape and then when it came out on DVD I immediately bought it and gave my old video tape away and I still love this movie and think Hayley Mills is outstanding as Sharon and Susan and Maureen O'Hara and Brian Keith are superb too and I love this DVD with all of it's great extra features!

    Stick with the classics

I have always been a fan of the original movies. The 1998 version can't match, much less surpass the original Hayley Mills version. If you enjoy the older movies, watch this one, you won't be disappointed.

    Really Great Movie!

I absolutely love this movie. It would never have won an academy award, but then that was not the purpose of this film. It was meant to just be a silly fun film. My children also love this movie and needless to say they were extremely disappointed in the 1998 version. I thought the 1998 version was a horrible remake of a great movie. It really disappoints me when Disney tries to update a classic and they do not put the effort they should into it. I highly recommend this movie as opposed to the 1998 version.

    Top notch happy ending

I absolutely love this film, and the story of twins trying to reunite their parents. I love the ending of this movie; a switch especially in such a tumultuous decade like the 1960's. Top notch family film!

A great film with lots of laughs!

I love this film. It is one of few with a divorce that ends with a happy story. Maureen O'Hara and the late Brian Keith have wonderful chemistry and Hayley Mills pulls off the ''dual'' role. Great film to add to anyone's collection.

    Great movie!

I like this particular version of The Parent Trap a lot better than the 1998 version. In this movie (Mills) is played as a twin. Sharon and Susan meet at a summer camp and cannot get along well at all. They learn to get along and they switch places. They break the news about the switch to the parents and they switch back.
