    Very Good

This movie is good and I picked it up with my copy of 300. It is no comparison to the ruthless bloodshed that you witness in 300 but it has a more involved storyline and it incorporates both nice war story mixed in with just enough of a love story. The main character is thrown in the middle of a showdown of cultures and in the end is left with two choices: Take his rightful place with the Vikings and pillage as his family has done or side with the peace loving native american tribe that sheltered him to protect the woman he loves.

    Old World vs New World

The extended version is MUCH better than the one seen in theaters! This film explains much more about the relationship between Ghost and the Pathfinder, and moreover, who the Pathfinder truly is. The symbolism of the white horse is also more interesting. Of course, all battle sequences are preserved. The only thing they could have improved on this film would be to have the Native Americans speak a Native language, (not English), as the Vikings speak a Scandinavian language. All in all, it's a very interesting take on what happened when the Vikings arrived in America, the Old World vs. the New!
