Not worth it if you already own the double disc DVD

I already owned the 2-disc box set of "Pride and Prejudice" which I love and watch several times a year, so when they released this limited edition set with extra features including cast reunion interviews I wanted to get this version. My rating has to do with this Limited Edition version versus the regular version which I would rate 5 stars. If you already own the original - this version does not provide much more that makes it worth the extra expense and shelf space that you would be committing. The packaging of the 3-disc set is poor with each disc sort of sliding into a paper slit and secured with the circular DVD knob found in most cases. Sliding DVDs in and out of a paper holder cannot be good for the longevity of the DVD, and the removal is awkward and likely to cause breakage or unnecessary handling of the DVDs beyond the usual edge. I already managed to scratch one a bit. The "Making Of" book is interesting, but I believe is available separately. The "bonus" disc really is a bunch of fluff, the cast reunion comprises interviews with the producer, composer, Mr. and Mrs. Bennett, Mary Bennett, Mr. Wickham, Mr. Collins and Mr. Bingley. No Mr. Darcy and no Elizabeth Bennett - the two characters/actors that everyone focuses on and loves. Unless you are a major diehard collector that must own all things P&P, you would be advised to consider being content with your original 2-disc version and leaving the pricey 3-disc version to newcomers willing to be duped into believing this is extra special.
