    More Tragedy more triumph

The second season of Denis Leary and Peter Tolans series achieves something many find it hard to do, it topped the first season. While Leary is the star of the series, the rest of the cast more than holds up their end of the bargain, many of them shine (Diane Farr, Dean Winters, and John Scurti come to mind). As in the first season the show doesn't shy away from controversy or adult subject matter. As Tommy's life spirals more out of control you will find your self taken along for the ride. Highly recommended

    Sometimes suffers from identity crisis

Denis Leary and Peter Tolan have created a realistic view of NYC firefighters, and sometimes that glimpse into the private world can be off-putting. Between the horrors of the job though, there are moments of sheer comedic brilliance. The only problem is that Leary is never sure what to focus on. The comedic storylines are stronger. This is the best season, in my opinion. Standout character: the fantastic John Scurti as Kenny Shea.

    This show ROCKS!!!

This is one of the best shows on tv. The entire cast gels with one another. Denis Leary deserves an Emmy. Tommy is funny, complilcated & flawed. Run, don't walk to buy this!!
