    A good escape

I never watched the original so I can't compare it. I have the dvdsaw a good deal on the blu ray so picked it up.Hmm is that a hint that I like this movie. Plots simple bad owner vs athlete trying to get free. Yeah its more complicated but not by much.
For a good price buy it or rent it and see if you like it. it's not for everyone and not everybody will view it as repeat viewing though I do find myself watching it once a year which I think is pretty good.
Decent action in the ring, outside not so much. Acting is ok and believable I guess since I'm not overly critical of acting.
I'm a WWE fan so I get a kick out of seeing Paul Heyman and Shane McMahon in the movie but Jean Reno and Klein do make a good dance pair.

    An interesting concept

An interesting concept just misses being an outstanding movie. A little more editing and a more believable villain would have helped a lot. Overall it was enjoyable. Chris Klein made a good athletic lead.
