    Good even for non-Western fans

    I'm not a huge Western fan, but I love this movie. It has a cast of now popular actors: Kevin Kline, Kevin Costner, Jeff Goldblum, Danny Glover, Scott Glenn, Brian Dennehy, and probably others that I've forgotten, all when they were really young. This is such a good guy vs. bad guy movie that we all love. Our characters all join together and, of course, beat the bad guys, although not easily and not without sad casualties. It's a really good western, made so mostly by the talent of Kevin Kline in the lead role, plus the other actors who have gone on to become great. Lots of humor in this one too.

    Great Flick

    I loved the young Kevin! Great story line mixed with great action. A must see.

    A modern Classic

    This is one of the best modern westerns ever made. It was made at a time when everyone thought the westerns were dead. It has great stars, great script and cinematography. It's got plenty of action, laughs and even a little romance. A classic movie made by a classic director.

    Too bad there isn't a 6 Star option

    This is a Western made for everyone who loves Westerns. John Wayne would be proud. Simple values; good wins out over evil, crime doesn't pay. The Plot and characters are typical, but the blending of terrific actors and a screenplay including a bit of a ''wink'' to the western lovers make it anything but typical. It's perfect. Looking for a good movie to share with the kids or if you want to feel like a kid sitting in the balcony on Saturday morning... SILVERADO is a great bet.
