    Sleepy Hollow

Sleepy Hollow was a really bad movie. the special effects weren't realistic and it was extremely gory. It didn't hold my attention and it just basically stunk!

Nothing To Do With The Original Story-Terrible!

I like Tim Burton's films, for the most part, and he is one of the most imaginative and original moviemakers out there. But this movie is a travesty, simply because he stole the characters from my all-time favorite story ''The Legend Of Sleepy Hollow'' and made them participants in what amounts to a slasher film. That, to me, is just plain wrong. Unfortunately, many people who see this movie will be under the impression that its the same as Washington Irving's classic tale, which it isn't. They'll expect to read a story filled with gloomy, horror movie imagery, only to be ''disappointed'' that its just a good-natured, old-fashioned ghost story. If Tim Burton wanted to make a horror movie, then he should've come up with something original (which he has always done in the past) instead of stealing characters. He also could've made a wonderful film version of the actual story, but he didn't. That is why I didn't like this film at all.

    Terrible

''The Legend Of Sleepy Hollow'' by Washington Irving is my favorite story of all time. So when I heard a movie called ''Sleepy Hollow'' was coming out, I was naturally very excited. When I saw the movie, I was shocked by what I saw. Yes, the imagery is great and the spooky atmosphere is fine, but the movie had nothing to do with the original story by Irving. Director Tim Burton took the characters in the classic story, put them in his own horror movie, and made everyone think that's what ''The Legend Of Sleepy Hollow'' is all about. If Tim Burton wants to make a horror movie, then make a horror movie! Don't hide it behind a classic and steal your characters from author Washington Irving! That's what upset me so much after I saw the movie. It had nothing to do with the story, it was simply Tim Burton stealing characters and making his own story. I had to explain to my friends who saw the movie with me that it had absolutely nothing to do with the story, and that is why I give this movie the lowest possible rating...as far as I'm concerned, this is outright plagarism. It upsets me that a good-hearted, old fashioned spooky story has been twisted into what amounts to a slasher film. If you want to know why Ichabod Crane really came to Sleepy Hollow, read the story, don't see this travesty of a movie.
