    Fun, exciting, great performances

This film's great cast (Redford, Poitier, Kingsley, +) takes a fast moving, fun script and runs with it. It is fun to sit back and just enjoy it. Just when you think you have it figured out - watch out!

    Solid caper with humor

This movie was a pleasant surprise when I discovered it at Blockbuster a few years ago, and I have continued to enjoy it. "Sneakers" is an entertaining, suspenseful caper movie with healthy doses of humor to go with the action. Robert Redford heads up a team of surveillance experts (Dan Ackroyd, Sidney Poitier, David Straitharn and River Phoenix) who are hunted by shadowy villains after they steal a universal code-breaker. Throw in Ben Kingsley as the chief villain with an axe to grind and Mary McDonnell as Redford's old flame and you have a terrific cast in a cloak-and-dagger thriller. Though light-hearted, the movie is not campy. Definitely recommended for fans of spy/caper movies!
