    A great show

One of my all time favorites, this show is great. Richard Dean Anderson adds a little comedy and he makes the show a lot better if he was not on this show it would be good, but not as great as it is. Every year this show is still great. Now their is a new stargate show called, Stargate Atlantis and it is totally awsome. Just as good as the regular stargate tv show, possibly even better, with a new story line and new enemies what is not to love? Both are must see shows, that should be on everybodies list.

Possibly the Best Sci-Fi Series Ever Created

I've been a dedicated watcher ever since the show came out, and I have to say it's incredible. When ou've got limitless possibilities on where the show can take place and a great set of actors, you can't help but love it. The first season is great and I highly recommend it, but when are the rest coming out. I know that Season 2 comes out soon, but hurry up already MGM!

Great series, hurry up with season 2,3,4 etc.

This collection is very nice. I've enjoyed it alot. I hear that season 2 will be out around Sept. 2002, but nothing on the rest of the series. I hope they speed it up a little, more like the new Star Trek TNG series, which is relasing all 7 seasons within the span of one year, not like the XFiles, which has dragged it out over several years.

    Season One WOW!

First Season of Stargate:SG1 WOW! Takes place about a year after the feature film starring Kurt Russell as Col. Jack O'Neil and James Spader as Dr. Daniel Jackson. With the introduction of the idea that the Stargate links to more worlds than just the planet of Abydos, the series hits on a premise that works like magic and opens up a vast opportunity for imaginative and creative story lines and arcs. The two main protangonist from the movie are back, but with different actors in the parts. Richard Dean Anderson of MacGyver fame brings his own unique style and sense of his craft to the character of Col. Jack O'Neill (who also mysteriously gains an extra L in his name:) Dr. Daniel Jackson is portrayed by the incredibly talented and versatile Canadian actor, Michael Shanks. In addition to the original two movie characters, the series has added Amanda Tapping as Capt. Samanta Carter-A brilliant astrophysicist, Gen. George Hammond as the commander of the SGC and Teal'c- a former follower of the false gods who has joined in the fight against them. The introduction of the Goa'ulds as the parasitic enemy who invade human bodies to use as host creates interesting and dramatic events within the series. Very first rate sci-fi show. Give it a look-see---I think you'll like it alot.
