    Legendary guitar playing and style!

I absolutely loved the dvd and would strongly recommend this and any Stevie Ray Vaughan dvd you can get your hands on. I have 2 sons who play guitar and one also plays drums. They both are enthralled with Stevie Ray and consider him to be one of the top guitar players of all time. The dvd shows up close just how he perfected his guitar playing. He never does much talking because he doesn't need to. His playing says it all.

Stevie Ray Vaughan: Live and Dangerous!

Only a musician truly knows how difficult it is, for a three piece band to fill the sonic gaps. The Jimi Hendrix Experience did it, Rory Gallagher did it with Taste and later under his own name. Probably less well known yet equal in every way to those other two Giants, is Texas' very own Stevie Ray Vaughan. This was just another night on the road as SRV and Double Trouble blazed their way through the smokey barjoints and clubs accross the North American continent. The difference being that tonight, there are microphones and cameras in the club to record every last note and grimace. The result is stunning. From his rendition of Voodoo Chile, a homage to his boyhood hero Jimi Hendrix to the force majeur of Texas Flood, this is SRV at a supreme moment in his career. SRV was essentially a live artiste and this DVD captures the spirit of that raw passion better than any other. If you are a SRV fan you should already have this on VHS. If not, then I truly envy you as you have the whole experience to come to! You will not forget it. A blues voice to die for and a guitar technique that was at times, sublime. The legend that is Stevie Ray Vaughan.

    A MUST HAVE!!

If you are a SRV fan...WHY DON'T YOU HAVE THIS ALREADY?!? This is one of the greatest guitar performances of all time, period. Just unbelieveable. Every song smokes, but his versions of Texas Flood and Little Wing are the stuff of legends. I simply can't say enough about this performance!

As the owner of the El Mocambo club in Toronto ....

I can attest to the greatness of this recording. Many have recorded at my club and this double album by Stevie Ray Vaughan is among the best.
