    Worth it

    This is one remake that is worth a watch. This is considerably better looking in all aspects when compared to the original and the creature itself has alot more screen time. Even though this was made in the 80s the majority of the effects are really nasty and a joy to watch for horror fans. The appeal of a ravenous shape changing entity that consumes everything is evident in many films. There is only a few scenes with questionable quality where it's obvious that blue/green screen was involved. The story is different once they find out the true origin of the creature but I thought it made sense. If you would rather be cautious, give it a rental, it's a fun movie.

    Cool Blob remake

    This movie is very well done. I still get the chills watching it. The special effects for the most part are great. There are times when they look cheap, like in the theatre scene. The movie does have it's funny moments to go along with the scary ones. All the actors do a fine job too. If you like cult classic films then add this one to your collection.
